so this is an exampleof the newer type of silicone cohesive gel implant where the gel inside ismuch thicker and denser. what i'm gonna do is i'mgonna take these scissors and i'm going to punctureit like that. you'll see,i've punctured it, okay. you'll notice nothingis oozing out, okay. nothing's coming out. the implant hasn'tchanged its shape.

and if i give it a squeeze,you see the gel coming out. and when i let it go,it just pops back in. this is an example of a roundsilicone cohesive gel implant with a smooth surface. i've made a big gash in it,with my scissors, here, and you'll noticethe same thing. there's a hugeopening in this and, when i press on it hard,the gel comes out and when i let go,it just retracts back in.

so this is an example of asilicone cohesive gel implant, with the dense gel inside. and i'm going to cutthe end off here. what you're going to see is that there's nothingoozing out of this. it has maintained it'sshape on both sides. even this little piece here. and when i give this a squeezeyou can see the gel coming outa little bit

and you let it goit comes back. i mean, this the gummy bearbreast implant. i just wanted toshow you an example, this is a siliconecohesive gel implant that was removedfrom a patient after eight years because theywanted to go to a larger size. and i justwanted to show you that that the-- literelly you know, there's very little change tothe implant.
